Rocky City Swimming Club
Splash-A-Bout Swim School is the official learn to swim partner of Rocky City Swimming Club. This partnership provides a pathway for our students to enter competitive swimming, and use the skills they learn at their lessons.
Rocky City Swimming Club was formed in 1996 to provide a group of swimmers with the opportunity to train, compete, and develop the technical skills of the sport of swimming. The club currently trains at the CQUniversity pool, which is a part of the CQUniversity Community Sports Centre. Over its existence, Rocky City Swimming has produced many swimmers who have qualified for regional, state and national teams. The club has activities for everyone, whether they want to swim for fun, fitness, or swim at the most competitive level. Some of our Splash-A-Bout instructors are members of the Rocky City Coaching Team. They are involved in coaching and teaching swimmers with a disability, coaching open water swimmers, and coaching triathletes.
Rocky City Swimming Club runs a club night every Thursday from 5:30pm – 7:00pm over school terms 1, 3 and 4 at the CQUniversity pool. Club night caters for swimmers of all ages and abilities. Races are offered in every stroke, commencing with 15m to 200m.
